Ruby, Emma and Cora Jo

We really enjoyed visiting with Tina, Jeff and our Goddaughter, Ruby while we were in Seattle last month. I think our girls had as much fun watching Ruby as she did them!

Cora Jo and Emma really liked Carla & Colleen's garden when we visited at the end of April.

Here's part of the Kindergarten class getting ready to take their bow. Cora Jo is far right, already bowing - the camera just missed her. But they were all so cute! 

Jump, Jive & Wail!

Here is Cora Jo dancing with Nathan Hopkins next to the May Pole. This was part of their program in which they danced to the swing hit, "Jump, Jive & Wail". They did a fantastic job, I only wish I had a video camera to catch it all. 

Queen's procession

Here are the girls, after a morning of fiddling, fussing and pictures. They were super and on their best behavior. The Queen is Katrina Plucker. 

May Day Court

Here is the whole court for May Day. Touchet has been doing this for 87 years, and it's a big deal for this community. As you can see, it's pretty elaborate. This is just the court (they do a big processional) and then grades Pre-K through 5 do their own coreographed production. I was in charge of making Cora's dress as well as all the skirts for the rest of the Kindergarten girls. They were soo cute and did a fantastic job!

Three pretty maids....

The local crop-duster was flying over one of our new pivots a couple of weeks ago... Just a nice shot. :)


 

Oompa Loompa Girl....

What do you get when Emma gets ahold of her sister's orange soda? Orange from nose to toes! This is what was left *after* I wiped her down. The soda had stained her skin through all of her clothes.... Makes her look like some weird half-breed Oompa Loompa! LOL!

 

Dirt grubbin!

Is there anything better than being a farm kid? Cora Jo had a blast playing in the fresh dirt I rototilled for my raspberry patch.
