Ruby, Emma and Cora Jo

We really enjoyed visiting with Tina, Jeff and our Goddaughter, Ruby while we were in Seattle last month. I think our girls had as much fun watching Ruby as she did them! Posted by Picasa

Heeeere's Ruby!

Can you believe those blue eyes? The girls sure had fun playing with her. Posted by Picasa

Girls in the garden

Cora Jo and Emma really liked Carla & Colleen's garden when we visited at the end of April. Posted by Picasa

Here's part of the Kindergarten class getting ready to take their bow. Cora Jo is far right, already bowing - the camera just missed her. But they were all so cute! Posted by Picasa

Jump, Jive & Wail!

Here is Cora Jo dancing with Nathan Hopkins next to the May Pole. This was part of their program in which they danced to the swing hit, "Jump, Jive & Wail". They did a fantastic job, I only wish I had a video camera to catch it all. Posted by Picasa

Queen's procession

Here are the girls, after a morning of fiddling, fussing and pictures. They were super and on their best behavior. The Queen is Katrina Plucker. Posted by Picasa

May Day Court

Here is the whole court for May Day. Touchet has been doing this for 87 years, and it's a big deal for this community. As you can see, it's pretty elaborate. This is just the court (they do a big processional) and then grades Pre-K through 5 do their own coreographed production. I was in charge of making Cora's dress as well as all the skirts for the rest of the Kindergarten girls. They were soo cute and did a fantastic job! Posted by Picasa

Senior Court

Here is the whole Senior Court for Touchet's May Day. Cora Jo is front & center. Posted by Picasa

Three pretty maids....

Cora Jo (center) with her friend and classmate, Catilin McGreevy and Malia. Caitlin was the flower girl for the Maid of Honor. Posted by Picasa

Cute as a button!

Here is Cora Jo in her May Day dress, with Malia Elsasser. They were the flower girls for the May Day Queen. Posted by Picasa

Neat scene...

The local crop-duster was flying over one of our new pivots a couple of weeks ago... Just a nice shot. :)

Oompa Loompa Girl....

What do you get when Emma gets ahold of her sister's orange soda? Orange from nose to toes! This is what was left *after* I wiped her down. The soda had stained her skin through all of her clothes.... Makes her look like some weird half-breed Oompa Loompa! LOL!

Dirt grubbin!

Is there anything better than being a farm kid? Cora Jo had a blast playing in the fresh dirt I rototilled for my raspberry patch. Posted by Picasa

Bubble Beard!

Emma just loves to eat the bubbles in the tub!Posted by Picasa

Story Time

Both girls love to read! This time, Emma picked out "Kiss the Cow" for papa to read with them. Posted by Picasa

Bottle Baby

Our first cow of the season had twins, so we had a "bottle baby" for a while. We've since put him on another cow who lost her calf, but until then, the girls really enjoyed feeding him. Emma named him "George" (she says it "Joge") and would crawl into the pen to be with him. She still talks about his "baba" and points to the door to go out and feed him! Posted by Picasa
Cora Jo and Emma really love George! Posted by Picasa
Hat on backwards and in sissy's sunglasses. This was too cute not to take! Looks like a little Elton John! Posted by Picasa

Frosty windows

The girls love to "draw" on the front window which gathers condensation when it's really cold outside. This was a lovely morning when the sun was shining in. Posted by Picasa
Emma loves her new blankie that Aunt Carla made! Posted by Picasa
Try this again - for some reason, the picture didn't go the last time. Emma loves Grandpa Stan's pockets! Posted by Picasa
Cora Jo in her new hat from Aunt Charlot. She and Aunt Celia had a lot of fun opening presents together! Posted by Picasa

Cora Jo got her very own musical jewelry box from Santa! Posted by Picasa
